Back in the Saddle

I’ve been out of touch for several weeks:  I went on several long trips (Caribbean, Santa Barbara, Lake Tahoe and Las Vegas), for mental relaxation, see an old friend, skiing with my daughter and learn!)

I’ll pick up on the trips at a later time.  But the trip to Vegas for LMS 2007 was astounding:  I never realized how much many people were so confused about LMSs and LCMSs and how many need help through the maze.

I was invited to this Elliott Masie sponsored-event (he’s a real nice guy, by the way) from an old friend, Chris Bond, at Bluewater Interactive of Dallas.  The intent was to seek new business opportunities and to see how this side of the eLearning business is doing.  And it is doing well!

Except this issue of need:  Most everyone there (over 400 attendees) was looking for assistance to get to the next “LMS level”.  Consequently, Bluewater Interactive and I left with more than 70 prospects.  Not bad for a two-day event!

More on this LMS event in the next couple of days.  In the meantime, I am presenting with Surgient tomorrow on “How to avoid a Train Wreck” (at http://www.surgient.com/news/webinars/20070424.html).  Hope you are one of the people who join!
